Filterpress is the mechanical dewatering which finds the largest usage area in sludge dewatering methods. It minimizes the volume of sludge which is produced during domestic and industrial wastewater treatment stage. It is also used safely where solid-liquid separation is required in different sectors.
As a result of the sludge thickening process, there is a large amount of water in the sludge. This water needs to be taken in order to make the sludge easier to handle, to have less volume and to be transported. To perform this process, belt presses are used based on water filtering by compressing the sludge between the bands and drums.
Polyelectrolyte preparation units are used to assist in crushing wastewater treatment plants. The poly preparation units developed by the Duhatech R & D team are composed of three parts: dissolution, maturation and storage tank. The water entering is controlled by the pressure control system. The powdered polyelectrolyte starts soluble when it starts to mix with water. The formed solution passes to the maturation section. It becomes homogeneous by means of the rapid mixer here. After this part, it passes to the homogenous liquid storage tank and is controlled by magnetic level sensors.
